Previously the difficulty would vary on different puzzles, and that was good. I 
didn't know if I was going to get an easy one or a hard one. But now i have to 
pick the difficulty myself. I don't like that.

I second this!  Please offer a "random" option under "difficulty."  That would 
be my default setting.
