At some point, it would be nice to have the max board available.

The 9x9 is available in the official KenKen app:

I already find the 8x8 board hard to read on an HTC Desire (which has a
reasonably big screen). Nevertheless, I agree it would be a good to offer a 9x9
puzzle. This will also require some repositioning of controls, so is not a
trivial change.

It may even require entirely re-thinking the display of the board. It could be
possible to use zooming and panning to help.

Yes, the board is going to get quite small. Maybe this is a good excuse to get
an Android tablet ;-)

I think initially will just add 9x9 and look at potential improvements for
displaying large grids in a later version.

Added a 9x9 grid option. This is probably going to ruin people's eyesight if
they have small screen devices!
