The NFL and the players union both have very strong trademarks and copyrights, and prohibit distributing "accounts of the game".

Yeah I've been thinking about this over the past day. I actually had someone on reddit message me about the same thing.

I'm going to remove the data repo feature. Can I ask you something?

Do you think it's the fact that I'm storing and distributing the original source data (their literal JSON responses) that's legally shaky?

The Engine uses versioned models, which originates from their source data, but is ultimately transformed into a different model. Do you think it'd be okay to have a data repo that just shares that?
