Note: work from @dsvensson re: CC1101 radio

I hope to get things in shape for the weekend, but otherwise it'll just have to wait until next newsletter.

Related urls: https://github.com/dsvensson/sparsnas-rs https://github.com/dsvensson/cc1101 (have write-access to upstream project, so may be another url later)

Placeholder for: https://github.com/rudihorn/light-cli

Will hopefully stick it on crates.io by the weekend and maybe write a small blog post

For someone interested in Cortex-R4F/R5F MCUs (in Lock Step mode):

https://github.com/paoloteti/ti-hercules-bsp

and/or may find useful the new armebv7-nome-eabihf target (PR 50183).

May be I'll start hacking on Armv8-R before the summer.

I gave a presentation at a conference, Teardown, about doing embedded Rust development. Video: http://youtu.be/g25xsK3HKkE Slides: http://github.jcreedon.com/static/EmbeddedWithRustSlidesTeardown2018.pdf

@jamesmunns I think it's better to leave cc1101 out of this next newsletter. Want to get it into better shape, and also the repo might be on the move.

jamesmunns commented 6 years ago

@dsvensson no problem, I'm excited to see more in the future!

Not entirely sure whether this fits the criteria, just published the first version: https://github.com/marcelbuesing/bme680

I put a bunch of links down to bits for Monotron, including the slide deck from Saturday's talk.
