I'd like to work on the section for my library; GGRS! If no-one from the backroll-rs team volunteers to write about their section, I can also describe Rollback Networking in general (since the functionality of the two libraries is so similiar)
I'll take glutin.
Per another discussion on Discord, @ValorZard has offered to write up something for backroll-rs. I'll likely proofread anything in our section before they submit it.
Hello, I would like to work on Open Combat
game update :)
I can write something about my Rusty Slider tool.
I'll take Egregoria :)
I should be able to do "Writing Bevy Retro's Renderer" and an update for Bounty Bros. and Bevy Retro.
I'm happy to produce a blurb about taileater :)
Can take HHO π
I can work on update for Battleship-rs
I'll take assets_manager
I'll take Projectris and smooth-bevy-cameras.
I'll do Sugarcubes
I'll take The Process
I'll take Weegames Web
I'd gladly put something together for Blightmud. I think it's categorized wrong though. It's a mudclient (game client for textbased (telnet) games), not an engine.
Does it still apply to the newsletter?
I will take erupt.
I'd be happy to take Dango.
I'd also like to write about the CrystalOrb library. It feels like there's not enough rollback networking libraries for June's newsletter π
Hello! Yeah, I want to talk about Backroll-rs and showcase a sample project made with it using the Bevy engine. That sample project is not done yet, so I hope I can finish it up before the deadline. Also, I'd also be interested in helping with the writeup on CrystalOrb. It would be really funny if we end up having a rollback netcode section of the newsletter
Imma take bevy_midi and also added bevy_config_cam(2), both released last month. PR moved to V2 #697
i'll take egui-tetra
I'll write up something for the Line of Sight tutorial
I'll claim The Hat Chooses The Wizard
I'll work on Themengi! Thanks for suggesting :)

@LiquidityC my bad, sorry. moved it to games. It definitely fits the newsletter :)
I want to talk about Backroll-rs
@ValorZard FYI that @gschup has already sent a PR about backroll-rs - it's better if you'd review and tweak it instead of creating a conflicting PR.

In case @ValorZard does not reply here: We created the section presented in my PR collaboratively.
I'm overwhelmed catching up on stuff right now, so no A/B Street this month. There'll be more fun things to report next time. Thanks!
Got busy this weekend, decided I'll wait on the update for Bevy Retro and Bounty Bros. There'll be a bigger update next month, I think. :)
My game (Flesh) doesn't appear in the slot but I would like to add a link to the demo build. May I?
I will unfortunately have to skip this month. Development on Outer Wonders has slowed down a fair bit this month so we don't have much to showcase right now. Hopefully we'll have more to show in the next newsletter!
Might not be able to finish my section by end of day, can work on it tomorrow but don't wait up! I can always get in on the next one
A bunch of interesting sections isn't claimed yet. Will try to squeeze out a few PRs before preparing the final draft later today.
Grabbing "Not Snake", "GMTK Jam - sokoban-sokoban", "GMTK Jam - Space:CAKES".
Any volunteers for other still free sections? :)
I'll try and get you a quick update about my Game Development article this morning. I've been a little tied up - Hands-on Rust should be in print this week, but I don't know exactly when. Launching the book is a surprising amount of work!
Grabbing "Getting Started With ECS Using Planck ECS" and "texture_generator" for the last PR before the draft
Could I request that an issue for Newsletter 24 be created now, even if it's just blank until edited later? Preferably with a publication date also included. I'd like to reference a link to the issue on a tracking issue in my project.
Final PR - https://github.com/rust-gamedev/rust-gamedev.github.io/pull/717 - everyone is invited to review :)
@Keavon #719 has been raised. Date is subject to change, but generally we aim to get it published around the 7th/8th each month.
Thanks @17cupsofcoffee!

As always, huge thanks to all editors, contributors, and reviewers! :crab: :crab:
Newsletter 26: September 2021
Editors: @ozkriff, @AngelOnFira, and @17cupsofcoffee
Another month has gone by, so it's time to put together the Rust Gamedev newsletter with September news!
If you want to help writing the newsletter:

Current Schedule
The soft deadline for all section PRs is the 5th of October. PRs will usually be accepted as long as they are ready before the newsletter's release, but the earlier the better :)

Current Structure & Status
Below is a list of our current planned structure for the newsletter, and the status of each PR (which we'll try to keep updated).
This is not an exhastive list - if you have your own project that you want to write about, just make a comment on this issue and open a PR!
