As all the active PRs have been closed and the remaining issues are about building and testing and not about changing the public API, the next release will be 1.0.0. Due to a large number of changes since 0.9.0, I think it is prudent that 0.10.0 is released first and if it doesn't raise any critical issues for ~3 months then 1.0.0 will be released.
