Need to find a current measurement solution.

Potential Solutions:

Oscilloscope current probe -pricey
DIY Oscilloscope current probe, would be more work to save cost, more learning involved
Current measurement IC, problems finding one with high enough resolution and sampling rate
Method to increase current (by factor of 10 for example) to increase resolution, then decrease it programmatically to increase resolution
Current shunt and oscilloscope?

These are the cheapest clamp meters I could find that weren't stupidly expensive if you guys think they might work

I found this part as a potential solution for current measurement.

Could be connected to a PC via an arduino (or datalogging using a Raspberry Pi Directly)
has I2C serial interface
Cost is $9.99

We should probably make a determination (at least on an initial setup) soon, so we can move on with the project
