Can't open network url's to files and doesn't meet manifest 2 requirements #13

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Can't click on links for files that start "\\server\file.txt"
2. Can modify controller file to open files but when manually locaing in Chrome 
says that it does not meet manifest version 2 settings.
3. Could you please update on webstore.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Nothing happens

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Using version 1.1 on Windows 7 x86

Am able to duplicate this on Win7. This was the whole point of the plugin for 
me.
