blue tooth is not enabled (wrong) 1.2.0(296) - occasionally #923

Recent versions prematurely declare

Bluetooth is not enabled Ruuvi Station needs bluetooth to be able to listen for sensors. Go to Settings and turn Bluetooth on

Taping OK without going to settings and station continues.

I think this is happening more often than previously. Perhaps checking a second time after 1 or 2 seconds and if still NG then complain.

On my iPhone SE (iOS 15.5) Bluetooth doesn't work at all anymore on Ruuvi Station 1.1.3 (299).

@DG12 What device and iOS version are you on please?

markoaamunkajo commented 2 years ago

Tested OS update with iPhone 7 to iOS 15.5 and iPhone 6 Plus to iOS 15.6 beta using Ruuvi Station 1.1.3 (299).

I have yet to reproduce this issue.

DG12 commented 2 years ago

I'm using iPhone Xs Max 15.4.1

priyonto commented 2 years ago

We were not able to reproduce it after several attempts on several devices. Hence, closing this issue.

Please reopen. Seems that the best approach is: if bluetooth seems unavailable , wait 2-3 seconds and try again before complaining.

DG12 commented 1 year ago

Still occurs occasionally (414)

DG12 commented 6 months ago

Please reopen. this still happens occasionally. 2.8.0 2405121430

@DG12 which device and iOS version? I am yet to see this on my devices.

DG12 commented 5 months ago

I'm using iPhone Xs Max 15.4.1 IOS 16.7

Frequently happens when pulling up from background, but not always!

Perhaps save time when BT seems not enabled, then when BT seems not enabled only complain if the previous failure was greater than 3 (?) seconds ago.

markoaamunkajo commented 4 months ago

I haven't yet been able to reproduce this. Moving to backlog if this comes up later on.

+1 iPhone went to sleep. On wakeup "Bluetooth is not enabled..." Last action was setting RSSI alert.
