i3 Window Manager Hides Hint Mode #202

When using hint mode in i3, the hints will not display behind an open window. Is there a way to have hint mode take priority over everything else within X, or is it a complicated fix? In dwm this wasn't an issue, although with certain popup windows in dwm it did cover the hints, but that wasn't a huge deal, I just wanted to add it into this.

I am using i3 on X and hints are always shown on top of all other windows. Could you please add more details, optimally a way your problem can be reproduced? In particular, does this happen with all open windows or just particular ones?

Thanks for your response, after you mentioned this I went through both of my configs for each program and saw nothing standing out. I realized that even though I thought I had recently pulled and fetched, I was wrong and made the huge mistake of not double checking before opening this. After the update everything is fine and better than before.
