We should have a web page for erlog!

rvirding commented 10 years ago

Most definitely but I am not the person to do the home page. My pages tend to make the google start page look overworked.

I don't really have any ideas, but I figured we should do it, so I created an issue :)

what do people thing of using a layout like this website's http://the-concurrent-schemer.github.io/scm-doc/ its all done in asciidoc and deployed via github, can't get much easier.

Also should we use the domain name erlog.org or erlog-lang.org or something else?

I think it looks good, but then I am not the right person to ask as all my attempts at websites tend to make the google start page look overworked. Pick a nice one you like.

I think erlog.org is better but erlog-lang.org might help people find it. I don't have any other better suggestion.

Honestly I am going to let my wife handle the make it look nice part. I like the fact that it is simple and we can create text is asciidoc and publish it via github.

I created a repo for the website here https://github.com/erlog-lang/erlog.org will be adding text as needed and hope to put it online via gh pages next week, closing issue
