MoonReader only loads thumbnails - bbs on NAS #107

When I integrate my bbs-Library in MoonReaderPro, it only loads a thumbnail, when I click on "download". Via the Web-Interface in Firefox, it works correctly.

I checked the behaviour and it seems that MoonReader doesn't send the proper authentication when requesting the book file. It does a login, but then forgets about it, and so the book download is denied.

Apparently many OPDS readers are not really built for protected libraries. Maybe we should add a feature to switch off the login, like in previous versions.

Same issue here, would be nice, if this could be fixed...

the problem mentioned here is in my case mixed with https://github.com/rvolz/BicBucStriim/issues/114 - i get the cover and a 2,7 KB corrupt "book" file. I can not download books with MoonReader from BBS on my synology. It works via BBS website and MoonReader via COPS. But i need to use user+pass so that access to BBS is restricted.

Maybe the best solution is to make it possible to switch off/on user+pass. Some people use BBS on nas without internet (no direct access to bbs from outside nas network)

Yes, that would be a workaround, and it's already on the list for other reasons, see #88

If I can find a solution it will be part of the next release, planned for November/December.

Anything in progress? I get dayli pressure from wife, because she can`t reach their ebooks :-)

I temporary use aldiko (works perfectly) till moonreader release a fix. Did write them a mail and ask for help, but the customer dont seems to be King there. I pay money for moonreader and get no answer. BBS is absolutly free and after an incredible short time, the programmer himself answers me. Thanks for that again. Yep, i wrote him (Moonreader) 2 times an email, no responds since months so far...

Vielen Dank für die Info und das Update. Leider bekomme ich das nicht hin. Ich habe auf dem NAS die beiden Files ausgetauscht und bekomme jetzt nur noch Fehlermeldungen...

Es gibt zwei Möglichkeiten: entweder die komplette Github-Fassung herunterladen oder ein wenig warten, bis das Release kommt. Muss nur noch das Tolino-Problem erledigen.

Hallo, wie bekomme ich denn die "alte" Version wieder zum Laufen? Ich habe die alten Dateien wieder zurückgespielt, bekomme aber trotzdem die Fehlermeldung... Ich habe so eine Ahnung, dass ich das nicht mehr hin bekomme.

Irgendetwas hatte sich mit den Folder Rechten verhakt, jetzt geht es wieder mit den alten Dateien.
