We discussed all of the open questions and reworked this subtree entirely.
Since games generally always require the player to discover, learn and apply rules we deleted the discover rules tag and replaced the apply rules tag with res: apply logic which should more clearly depict the idea behind this tag namely that the player is for example is forced to combine information logically. This would not be the case in all games, since many games provide tools that aid the player e.g. questmarker.
Furthermore we renamed puzzle pieces to _res: combine information_, since this tag was kinda ill defined and could be understood in multiple ways. In this form it is also possible to tag adventures like Deponia with this tag. Supplementary we added a tag res: ausschlussprinzip to signify games in which this specific technique is heavily used to solve puzzles or riddles.
Even though these changes improved the understandability of the subtree it is still difficult to differentiate the tags and know how to assign them, since one tag often includes another, as this example shows: In Hexcells the player combines information and applies logic such that the player can rule out (ausschlussprinzip) solutions. We obted to go with our current version, but revisit this topic in the future.
Finally we added a res: other tag such that unrepresented elements can be tagged.
