errror on install

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. define the config in sys.var
2. try to install

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

go the Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION 
or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in 
/homepages/5/d334180298/htdocs/cFTP/includes/form_validation_class.php on line 
12

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Same error on first install.  Version cftp-r80.zip

Creating and then adding "AddType x-mapp-php5 .php" to the .htaccess file 
allows the install to start.  I did not see php5 listed as a requirement - 
would be helpful to add minimum requirements list to project home page.

PHP5 is now listed as a requirement on the home page.
