Looks like the Tinkers Construct compatibility was made for v2.3.3a, which is at this point more than 9 months old (there have been multiple "release" versions since then) Even official FTB packs are using the most recent release 2.6.3
With recent versions of TConstruct, slimeknights.tconstruct.tools.TinkerTools no longer contains any of the tools or weapons, just parts.
They are now located in slimeknights.tconstruct.tools.melee.TinkerMeleeWeapons, slimeknights.tconstruct.tools.ranged.TinkerRangedWeapons, and slimeknights.tconstruct.tools.harvest.TinkerHarvestTools.
Edit: I now realize this entire mod hasn't been updated in 8 months, no wonder.
