Using Mob grinding utilities, I obtained an enderman spawn egg to change a cave spider spawner into an enderman spawner. I used the moving wand from not enough wands in survival with the experience being used instead of power, and after one enderman spawned, it changed back to cave spider. Is repeatable.
Resturbed spawners also repeat this issue with not retaining the type of mob with being changed. Wither skeleton for example only appears to spawn in a nether fortress even as a resturbed spawner, which from what I understand is supposed to work anywhere.
