i'm testing things out and see that the destruction pickaxe in version 1.2.2 of extra utilities isn't destroying the stone and is dropping the stone as cobblestone entities. i'm only using extra utilities to make sure it is an extra utilities bug and it is. i have screen shots if you want more proof.
