Last time I looked at this, the only way to get stronger haptic feedback is to use private APIs. I pretty much avoid private frameworks at all cost because there are no guarantees about their functionality and Apple could remove or change them at any time.
That's unfortunate. I wonder why the feedback is so weak on the standalone trackpad; I pretty much have to hold it in the palm of my hand to feel anything. Both clicks and Force Touch are easily felt, of course. I also have this issue with other apps like Swish
File an issue with Apple? It seems that their intention is to not allow 3rd parties to perform haptic feedback that could be confused with those coming directly from macOS.
I'll follow up with Apple support, the issue is likely the Magic Trackpad itself; either a hardware or firmware issue with the vibration motors. It's perfect on the MacBook trackpad
The haptic feedback from gestures on my new Magic Trackpad is very weak; I can barely feel the vibrations when using it. Is there a way to increase the haptic feedback strength? The haptic feedback is much more noticeable on my M1 MacBook Pro's built-in trackpad.
