Thanks for posting, @ElectricFeet.
I've been running Multitouch without issue on Big Sur, both Intel and M1.
I'm assuming that you have not tried out the app before Big Sur, in which case it's hard to track down whether this is in fact a Big Sur issue that you're experiencing, or just an issue specific to your machine.
From my current perspective based on what I've seen in the past, the issues you're experiencing point to machine specific issues.
For the Magic Mouse, only the private framework is used, regardless of that setting in Multitouch (that is the only way to obtain the touch data for the Magic Mouse). Usage of the private framework is not technically supported by Apple, and therefore I can't guarantee proper behavior for all users (hence the 30 day trial). I've spent a lot of time digging into specific behavior for a lot of individual users, and sometimes it does just boil down to not all macs behaving identically.
Hi there Ryan. Thanks for what looks like a really nice app, with a well-thought-out interface. It looks like it could be an excellent replacement for jitouch, which no longer works on Big Sur.
I've just tried Multitouch version 1.19.6 on Big Sur, but am having very erratic behaviour. I'm using a magic mouse.
It's difficult to "reproduce" or detail the behaviour, because everything becomes very erratic. Examples:
The whole system became impossible to use. I tried with and without the "Avoid private framework" setting active.
Question: Has this been tested on Big Sur without issues for others?
