Option to disable resizing windows when moving displays

When windows are moved from one display to another they seem to maintain the same ratio to match the new display – therefore resizing much larger or much smaller. Is there/could there be, an option to disable this behaviour and maintain the same size and approx position? (Only resizing or moving when the window is larger than the target display)

I've managed to approximate this behaviour using a custom shortcut but it's not possible to maintain the window's position because the docking position cannot be left blank.

Although not exactly what you're looking for, you could try "Next/Prev Display Centered", which keeps the current size (but centers the window, of course). I'll consider a modification to allow keeping the same size and approximating the position if there's enough demand.
