Multi-User Editing (Collaborative Editing) #48

Multi-user editing is now live!

With this feature, you will see Google-spreadsheet-style collaborative editing appear in The Gonkulator. If you have multiple sessions open that are both scheduling, both will automatically receive the changes from the other(s).

All changes you make are now automatically saved. There is still a "Save To Cloud" button, but it essentially does nothing (since all changes you make are automatically saved). I will leave this button up for a few weeks to ensure there are no bugs with this new feature. If you click save to cloud, it will continue to function as it did before - forcibly saving all of your local changes to the server.

There is no longer a need to worry about saving over each other. As many people can schedule at once as you want.

Quick demo: sample50

A few highlights:

  1. This is only true for scheduling. The view only interface still requires a refresh to see any new changes.
  2. A schedulers favorite: if someone enters a commitment for the current week you are scheduling, that commitment will automatically appear on your screen with a big notification that says "Grenade incoming!" image sample51
