Feature Request: Search Owned Game Filters & Customizations #73

Excellent app, thanks.
I'm using version 1.7.4 on iPhone 4.
I love the ability to search owned games but it would be really perfect for me
if it had a couple of additional filter and customization options to make sure
I'm getting the results that I want …

1. It would be really helpful to be able to override the num players a game
supports…

There are various games I don't want to play with certain numbers of players so
it would be cool to have a way to ensure those games don't show up for me when
I'm searching for that number. For example, War of the Ring I only want to play
with two players so I don't want it to show up in my searches for 3 & 4
players). Risk, Sequence, Monopoly, and Carcassonne are other examples where
I'd like to avoid seeing them as an option with certain player counts.

Likewise, (and more importantly) there are various games that I play with more
or less players than the range specified on BGG due to variants or expansions
so it would be cool to have a way to let those show up. Examples: I play
Witch’s Brew, Dominion, Race for the Galaxy, and Age of Empires with up to 6
so I’d like a way to ‘override’ the player counts for those games so that
they show up when I’m searching for 5 & 6 player games.

2. For the weight filter, it would be nice to have some additional options to
support ranges. For example, I often want to look at my games that are >=
Medium Weight. It would be nice to have options like: "<= Med. H.", ">= Med.
H.", "<= Med", ">= Med", etc.

3. Finally, it is often the case that I want to exclude or include certain
games from my search in a way that isn’t covered by the filters.
Specifically, I generally use the search on game night and by default I don’t
want to see party games, CCGs, Warhammer, and a few other games that I keep
around but don’t necessarily want on the game night to-play list ;-). Would
it be possible to setup custom lists and then either exclude or include items
from those lists from the list of games returned by the filters? In other
words, effectively limit my search to a subset of my collection.

One way to do it would be to just have an exclusion list that lists my whole
collection and lets me check off games I want to exclude from collection
searches. Once I have the list setup, then it could just be an additional
filter check box on the search page …
