Screen size not detected correctly on ipad #91

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open BGG on iPad
2. Go to specific game description

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
On the iPhone version there is a bar across the bottom with links to comments,
forum, etc. This bar is not visible on the iPad.

Also, if the text for the game description is longer than will fit on the
screen, it will scrolll normally to a stopping point near but not at the end of
the text. The remaining text must be dragged up onto the screen, as if the app
were rendering the lower part of the window offscreen. The attached screenshot
shows the screen when scrolled down completely but not dragged upward and held
in place.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Version 1.8.3 of the BGG software
Ipad model MC706LL/A
IOS version 8.0.2

Please provide any additional information below.

This issues goes beyond display problems. You cant see the right side of the
screen, so you cant access the icon to manage your collection. For example, I
cannot add newly bought Royals, Clash of Cultures and Zombie Dice to my
collection on iPad and will need to log into a PC to do this. Also, I cant
reply to a forum post because whatever button I need to press to lodge an
answer is probably off acreen to the right. note too that the screen
orientation in landscape does not display fully - there is a solid black area
to the right that seems to correspond to the max screen width of the portrait
orientation.

But very keen on this app - looking forward to using it instead of wrestling
the kids off my PC!
