I'll be doing SEO updates anyway and it will be helpful to add these to the exist system. This will take some time.

I will require only 2024 to be backfilled before switching the blog on.

I changed my mind, I turned it on with 2 posts. I'll keep backfilling as I go. With so little traffic, why wait?

I've decided that for now, I'm not going to backfill the old blog posts. They are archived, but the blog has evolved into something more SEO friendly. I'm going to think of a different way to showcase project progress as well.
