Add plot kwargs for removing axis spines, axis ticks, and customizing tick format #6

Added kwargs for modifying some plot aesthetics.

Thanks for these! Small thing, could you change the parameter spines to something like invisible_spines so that it's a little more clear those are spines that get set to not be visible?
