This repo will contain various writings (articles, free-form, etc) as I iterate on them. When stuff is ready it will be published somewhere "official" (medium, personal blog, etc - haven't decided specifics yet)
This section seems of much poorer quality than the other sections, having zero references, and you even use the expression "self-evident". That's not the right thing to assert, especially on a topic outside your (and, to be fair, my) expertise.
The only reference (overdose-death-rates) in this section doesn't actually talk about alcohol, so your clarification that "we use the term “drug” in a scientific sense, which includes alcohol", is misleading.
It is my understanding that alcohol is the biggest killer of all drugs, primarily because of how accessible and socially acceptable it is. If all the bars are closed, does that actually make the deaths go down? I wouldn't like to call it.
Anyway, either research this section better or remove it, it weakens the article in its current state.
