App not signed #1

I downloaded the app is not signed and will not run without turning off the check from the OS. Is there a way to sign the app?

You don't need to change the setting on the OS, just right click the app and choose open. You only have to do that the first time.

Yup. I don't have a Mac Developer ID to sign it with.
