Using the character \ throws an error when saving #76

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Whenever there is a \ in any of the values on my table
2. Throws an error "Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in grid.php on line 
64

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected output would be that it just saves with that value.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Using 1.8 on PHP version 5.3, linux server.

Please provide any additional information below.
