When picking the political options for a town I find I am not familiar enough to know the specific differences in each option witin each category.

As a user, a pop-up when you hovered over each option would be awesome. Not sure how easy that would be to institute on your side though.

Having a separate page that you could open in a new tab that had the information would suffice as we;;
