Thanks for writing the issue.
Though we have not started developing the iPad version yet, we understand it would be necessary for our users. Because we had the same iPad version request from another user.
If you could tell us the detailed use-case, it would be very helpful for us.
Basically, we are a mix of engineering and clinical researchers and we want to annotate a bunch of medical images. We tried some approaches to image annotation, using the mouse, digitizer tablets and iPad + Apple pencil. We found out that the most comfortable and accurate system was the iPad Pro connected to a Mac computer through Astropad app.
Thus, if RectLabel was available as an iOS app, the workflow would be easier for us and we wouldn't have to spend more money on Apple computers.
Thanks for the details.
When you label those medical images, do you use the polygon tool or the pixelwise tool?
In the version 2.22, we released the "Label pixels" feature. https://rectlabel.com/help#label_pixels
If you could give us some feedback, it would be very helpful.
For the iPad version, we would start developing after some updates for RectLabel for mac. When we could start developing and release the first version, we would let you know.
For the images we are working with (dental x-rays) we found that the polygon tool is more precise and reliable. The superpixel technique is very useful for high contrasted images, which is not our case.
Sorry, this is not a feature request or a bug report, but wouldn't be great an iOS app? It'd speed up the annotation workflow, especially with iPad Pro and Apple pencil.
Is there a plan to develop it?
