1 year ago I was thinking would it be possible to add something like this? This is from a screenshot of mine from Old Reddit, using the extension I mentioned in the post above. Clicking on the colored brackets would collapse into the parent comment. From a usability standpoint alone, this would be worth pursuing. Personally, I think color coding each different comment is a nice touch as well. Thoughts?
With above extension ENABLED, comments thread can be collapsible via clicking on colored dashes:

Loving using Lemmy like the old style Reddit, it works surprising well, so just wanted to say a huge thanks to your efforts. One thing I did like that should be easy to implement is changing how collapsing lemmy comment trees look. Nothing crazy, just something similar to this project: https://github.com/tom-james-watson/reddit-comment-collapser
Please let me know if this is something that could to consider to implement. I think it would greatly increase usability with the addition. Perhaps a toggle for it could be added to the menu too.
