Iron Python is a Python implementation with built-in access to .NET libraries.

This means that Iron Python provides a dynamically compiled, high-level, option 
for writing closed-loop protocols with NeuroRighter. There are also tools for 
integrating python directly with VS or Mono Dev:

It would be good to have an example that shows how to do this.
