OS X 10.7 Lion - MacVim full screen animation doesn't look right #369

When you enter MacVim full screen mode in Lion, the animation looks much
different compared to other fullscreen applications like Numbers.

The default animation looked horrible -- it stretched the text and there was an
ugly flicker as the view resized so I had to come up with another animation. I
settled on the simplest animation that did not look absolutely appalling.

Due to the way the drawing code in MacVim works right now it is pretty much
impossible to make this look good. It will require a new renderer, which is
something I am thinking about right now. Once that is done I will revisit this
issue.

Some other Lion apps (eg. Byword) are also implementing the same animation to
full-screen used in MacVim. I myself find the fade-out, fade-in animation much
more pleasant than the default that Safari or Numbers uses, and I'd wish to
keep MacVim the way it is right now.

On second thought, I agree. It looks fine.
