macvim build 62 crashes when opening an existing file #379

I am using macvim 7.3 (62) and os lion. I have macvim configured (through) the
preferences not to open a new file when first starting up. If I then go to
File -> open and choose an existing .tex file macvim crashes. If I then
restart macvim, the file that I just attempted to open will be open recent
menu, I can select it and all is well. This happens every time. So with a
new macvim instance open file does not work but open recent does.

Best,
R Haynes

Just an additional note: opening a file from finder works fine. It is just
starting a new instance of macvim and going to file-->open which causes a crash.

Can you attach a crash log? There should be at least one under
~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter.

Did you go through the troubleshooting guide to eliminate problems caused by
plugins etc.?
