MacVim does not redraw text under Mountain Lion #433

I'm running OS 10.8.2 (12C60) on a 15" MacBook Pro Retina, mid 2012, Intel Core
i7, connected to an external Dell monitor.
I'm using MacVim snapshot 65.

MacOS is configured for 4 desktops. Typically each desktop has a number of
overlapping windows.

The problem is that, when I switch between desktops, often (but not always),
when I return to a MacVim window, the window (but not its title bar) is blank:
no content is not redrawn. I can remedy this by dragging the scroll bar up and
down.

One way to make this happen is:
1) switch to a different desktop
2) unplug the monitor
3) plug the monitor back in
4) switch back to the desktop containing the MacVim window.

The problem did not happen under earlier Mac OS versions (i.e. Lion, etc) as
far as I recall.

This is not a show-stopper but it is a little irritating.

Well, this does sound annoying indeed. I assume that the problem goes away if
you go into the advanced preferences and disable the Core Text renderer? (This
is not a solution, the other renderer is very slow on large monitors.)

Bjorn, thanks. I tried disabling the Core Text renderers. After restarting
MacVim, this did make the problem go away. Caveat: I only tried a couple of
times on a very small file, and only on one external monitor.

I'm experiencing the same issue, as I switch between an external monitor and my
MacBook's screen quite frequently (3-4x per day). I disable the Core Text
Renderers as well, and it definitely fixed the issue.

I have a pretty similar setup and am also having this issue. I can get the
"correct" screen back by changing the buffer layout (e.g., :vs or :sp). Still
annoying :S

Any updates? On my Retina 13" MacBook Pro I have this issue; it is rather
irritating since I unplug/replug my Thunderbolt monitor about 5-6 times a day.
Thanks!

Awesome! Any idea when we'll see a stable release including this fix?

I'll build a snapshot when Bram releases a Vim 7.4 beta (in the coming weeks?).
