Chalky background in Lion / Mountain-Lion fullscreen #448

- What steps will reproduce the problem?
Install macvim, and go to lion (new) fullscreen mode.

- What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Have macvim fill the whole screen.
Instead there is a "chalky grey" background in the margins.

What version of MacVim and OS X are you using (see "MacVim->About MacVim"
and "Apple Menu->About This Mac" menu items, e.g. "Snapshot 40, 10.5.6
Intel")?
MacVim 7.3.66
Mountain Lion 10.8.3, Macbook pro 13" mid-2010.

Please provide any additional information below.

This is a consequence of the fact that a view in MacVim must be a multiple of
the font width. You can work around it by reverting back to the non-native
fullscreen in the preferences.

But I wish to use macvim with mission control, in it's own space/desktop.

Can't you at least set the background to black, so this chalky-background won't
be as bold/obstrusive as it is now?
