Thank you for the suggestion and sorry for not replying earlier. We discussed your suggestion and couldn't really come to a decision. The main concern was cluttering the repository with only tangentially related meta-data.

Oh, ok, thanks for the explanation.

Indeed, this is secondary metadata, but it can be quickly forgotten afterwards, and since the repo is on github this is a good practice IMHO, that can be useful to users (discovering repos, searching code, …) and to CL (to count the contributions as CL, not tex -I admit I may give too much value to this!).
