rafter not aligning and hip issues in roof segments #269

Open dreame89 opened 3 years ago

Archipack version: 2.3.6

Blender version: 2.91

Os version: windows 10

Description of the issue:

Some of the problems i am facing with roof :

1) while adding 2 or more segments, the rafters don't meet/align with each other properly. I tried adjusting the spacing, it is not solving the problem. is this a bug? can we solve this by other means?

rafter issues:

rafter error 4 rafter error 2 rafter error 3

Hip issue-

2) if we add angled segments, the hip tiles are not forming on the roof.

hip error 1 hip error 2

I had the same problem with free version of the addon, so i bought a pro version mainly for roof structures, it still has all these issues.

Rafter alignment depends on each polygon. Basically 1'st rafter is on left side, last on right side with equal spacing in the between. The logic behind this is from static forces point of view where we do expect the best repartition possible of constraints.

When 2 parts of roof are meeting, either you have a "valley" when angle is negative, or hip on positive angle. In last picture, top is hip and bottom is a valley. Basically where water flows from both sides are meeting you will have a valley to collect the flow, and a hip where water flows diverge.
