Exp/new seq

[s-leroux]

Update the main branch to replace the seq implementation with the complete rewrite seq2.

• [x] Bump the version number (is there such a thing somewhere?)
• [x] Update README
• [x] Discard old implementation
• [x] Rename all instances of seq2 by seq
