Title kind of says it. Please make this compatible for V12 of FoundryVTT

markmillerlv commented 3 months ago

Following. I need this plugin to stream my games on YouTube. Please help.

JohnnyDev818 commented 3 months ago

It just needs the Manifest updated. I've tested it for version 12, and I can't find any errors. I'm not sure if it's still in active development. You could always manually install it and change the maximum compatibility to 12 in the module.json file.

There are definitely incompatabilities. I've fixed the ones that I've found so far locally, but have some more testing to do.

Thanks so much.

I just found out that there is a V12 compatible alternative to Stream View called "Monk's Common Display" The setup is similar to Stream View and it has similar flexibility. I am still testing it and will post if I experience any issues,

CasualTerror commented 3 months ago

I played around with that one, the biggest issue, for me, I found is when you hide the UI everything on /stream is also hidden. Which makes using Stream Util in tandem useless for extra info like party health and I like the look of having Dice So Nice roll over the entire scene, overlay and camera and all.

I'm about to leave on a trip and will be without access to a computer until early August, so I won't be able to look at this until then. Apologies for the long delay.

Sure hope you're back soon and able to take a look at updating this awesome module to v12, or at least give it some initial barebones update

I experimentet by simply removing the line "maximum:11" from module.json so that the lock was removed. Have been trying the streamview in Foundry v12 today and everything actually seems to work. Will try it live during streaming later tonight. Wish me luck!

How did it go?

I forgot to check this one module for my stream in 15 hours...opps.

Hi, Any progress?

It actually seems to work fine by just removing the restriction. I tried it out live on two of my streams, and so far everything seems to work as usually before moving to v12.

Kaallis commented 3 weeks ago

I forked it and simply updated it to be with v12, no other modifications, if you want to use it while the original gets updated https://github.com/Kaallis/fvtt-module-stream-view/releases/download/v12/module.json
