Create a MANUela Mailing list (manuela-list@redhat.com ?)

Habe mich durch Mailman gekämpft und bin final am Ort der Erstellung angekommen. Dort sind jedoch ein paar Fragen zu beantworten, die ich nicht allein/ohne Rücksprache im Team beantworten will. Daher meine Fragen zum finalen Anlegen der Mailingliste für unser nächstes Standup:

**** Red Hat Mailman External List Security Warning "An internal mailing list can only add Red Hat email addresses as subscribers.

An external mailing list can have non-Red Hat email addresses as subscribers. This does not affect who can post to the list, it simply affects who can join the list. Please be aware that you should always default to an internal list unless you know that you must have some subscribers who are outside of Red Hat. Creating an external mailing list can potentially expose your list content and archives outside of Red Hat if someone subscribes a malicious account to your list. An internal list can possibly prevent exposure of your list archives by a non-Red Hat member.

List archives will automatically be limited to list members. This is a direct result of a request from Information Security after review by the Mail Services team. If you strongly feel that your archives should be world readable you may modify this setting in your new list once it is created.

Please note: if you choose to make your list archives public, they can and will be visible to the internet. This includes being searchable on Google and other platforms. They will not be removable from the internet! Be very careful when you make your list archives publicly available."

• Stackoverflow and Git Issues for external

I agree that Manuela-list should be internal only because somebody might be posting company or customer confidential issues. I would like to discuss whether it would make sense to let people outside RH actually send messages to it, for example IBM or other interested parties. What's to gain and what's to lose?

If we remain RH-internal only and don't have the need for archives, etc... (so just the mail distribution aspect), we also have the option to create a rover group - those can be mirrored to gmail: https://mojo.redhat.com/docs/DOC-1156886 -> is maybe a bit more lightweight, but wouldn't allow self-subscription, etc...
