I can help maintaining it. Would someone be able to give me a bit of onboarding and project history/scope?

Although, would it be better to focus our efforts on matrix-commander?

I'm not experienced with this project, just trying to help organise its state for everyone else.

matrix-commander's github is at https://github.com/8go/matrix-commander . if its featureset is comparable it would make sense to migrate to it, as it appears more active.
