What would you like dabr to do?
Please support Identi.ca/Laconica - open-source Twitter alternatives. They 
use the Twitter API. http://laconi.ca/trac/wiki/TwitterCompatibleAPI

How would you prefer dabr to do it?
It would be best if dabr ran the new services in parallel with Twitter, 
just like Gwibber, as most users cross post between them.

I've implemented this feature in my branch.
Tested with Twitter API proxy and identi.ca's API.

my implement is a little different as you expected.currently it cannot login to 
twitter and identica at the 
same time.this checkin is aimed to fix issue 55 .you can test this feature at 
my dabr mirror: http://
yegle.net/dabr/ .identica's api url is http://identi.ca/api/ .

Tt works really well - although the login process on an old-fashioned mobile is 
a bit 
of a PITA, as you have to type http://identi.ca/api/ manually. Maybe this could 
be 
handled by a dropdown/checkbox or something?

actually identi.ca/api is enough:-)
my purpose is to add a general support to all api addresses which are 
compatible to twitter's , that 
includes identi.ca, identica mirrors(status.net), twitter api proxy and so on. 
maybe a select list and a 
input field is a better idea:-)
