Allow to open single-scale / single-channel datasets

The container structure requirement is too strict, which makes it difficult to open:

• single-channel datasets because they need to be stored in the group named c0
• single-scale datasets because they need to be named s0

The naming requirements need to be relaxed to allow all possible combinations of the above.
