Refresh fix

Addresses the refresh issues #420 as well ass some additional edge-case bugs found in the meantime:

• when painting at certain rotations, flood fill algorithm was not filling properly with brush depth of 1 pixel.
• Optimized painting strategy when axis aligned was not working on views other than the top left.
