What I mean by feature trap is that there is this 1% of users who complain a lot and asking you to add features they really need. And then you add those features to your SaaS without asking other users or reflecting on that. And then you realize, that those features are only needed by 1% of users. For the rest 99% it only adds complexity. In the end you'll end up with a messy product. It's about implementing the right features and UX design, hiding the features which are not "mainstream".
