don't know witch version...
check http://code.google.com/p/tint2/wiki/Install
to get the latest.
you have an option taskbar_mode = multi_desktop
explained in the wiki http://code.google.com/p/tint2/wiki/Configure
if you download the latest source, try tint2 -c ./tintrc02
or tint2 -c ./tintrc07

Hi !
Will a display-only-workspace-windows option be added ?
The guys on #freedesktop told me that tint2 wasn't compliant to the freedesktop
norm, not compiz, when I asked
who had to change its code. :)
Cheers, and by the way great panel, almost perfect !

Can you give more detail on witch part of the norm is not respected by tint2.
thanks.

I can't find an option to make tint2 display only the tasks ot the current
workspace
; they display on all workspaces.

In this picture, I expected the tint2 on the right not to display anything in
its
taskbar, because this workspace is empty !

@ calimeroteknik
Understand your problem.
But would like to know witch part (chapter or feature) of freedesktop tint2
doesn't
follow. It's more constructive than 'tint2 wasn't compliant'.

Here is the part of the freedesktop norm about viewports :
http://standards.freedesktop.org/wm-spec/wm-spec-1.3.html#largedesks
That would be a great improvement to tint2, to make it viewports-aware, with an
option "display the tasks of the current viewport [y/n]". :)

In EWMH specification Workspace are named "Virtual Desktops" or "Desktop".
But they are not "Viewport" !
EWMH have tools to manage workspace :
_NET_NUMBER_OF_DESKTOPS
_NET_CURRENT_DESKTOP
_NET_WM_DESKTOP
...
But EWMH doesn't have equivalent tools for Viewport.
Compiz decide to implement Workspace as Viewport.
But to my knowledge it's not the way EWMH define it.
If some guy at freedesktop have new information on this subject, I would be
happy to
be wrong.
Will have a look if it could be done easily.
But it's not a hight priority and I have few time these days/months.

Viewport support has been added to EWMH 1.5:
