Pls help #6

Sir I have successfully found a twrp recovery of another device through which I can boot on my phone Samsung Galaxy A9 2018(a920f) but not fully functional as mount points are wrong , brightness cant be changed, terminal shows black blank screen , etc . I have posted all required files below on link with my problem. Pls help sir.

I am sorry to jump in Also in my case, brightness, mount points not worked properly So I fixed mounting points with editing fstab Also I re-built Kernel image inside twrp

Sorry, I tried it but it didn't even boot through recovery, instead it redirected the boot to download mode

Sorry sir, but this also didn't boot. this time what was different from the before was that it didn't boot into download mode by itself but stuck at the bootloader logo

Sir I have actually tried porting most Twrps from phones having same chipset to A9 2018 (A920F) but the only phone whose TWRP worked(with mount errors) is of Galaxy A8 Star 2018 whose image I have provided at the Google Drive link which I posted sir. So sir you can try that image of A8 Star to port for A920F.

Sir it booted but previous problems persist that 1) it doesn't detect data partition, internal storage and microsd card 2) opening terminal gives a blank black screen. 3) there are extra mount points left from earlier device like 'System image and 'Vendor image'

  • Use A920F android 10 kernel (may not work with twrp 7.1 binary)

Sir, though the image didn't work but I want to thank you so much sir as you are very helpful sir and you tried so many times. Thank you so much sir. But one question sir that what is required during the building process so that in the end the built image is sure to work 100 percent without testing sir? Did I fail to provide you all files , or the recovery building process is always a hit and trial method for all phones ?

Sir lastly I have 2 hopes left(2nd hope I recently got after I requested Samsung open source to provide me source code of SM a920f Android 10 ):

1) The only TWRP image (of astarqlte) on the whole wide internet which is able to boot on a920f (which you made sir sabpprokpro) but data and storage can't be read/mounted for backup (though system, cache,dalvik,can backedup-shows exact size)

2)I requested Samsung for giving source of Android 10 A920f and they uploaded on request, so I think this could help Greatly in TWRP building for a920f. The link to source of a920f is https://opensource.samsung.com/
Due to website constraints, can't share direct link. So go to above link ,go to release centre >> Mobile phones>> type "a920f" in search box >> Download the file marked (SM-A920F | A920FXXS4CTK1 | SM-A920F_EUR_QQ_Opensource.zip) . The file has source of stock recovery of a920f which I think would definitely contribute to some extent in developing TWRP for a920f. Thank you sir🥺

Sir when I wiped data I was successfully able to read the size of data partion showing 128000 mb but I still can't access the internal storage , data and SD card while installing zips or while opening them In file manager of twrp. Sir when I wiped data I was successfully able to read the size of data partion showing 128000 mb but I still can't access the internal storage , data and SD card while installing zips or while opening them In file manager of twrp. Also a constant 'uevent not root' error is coming
