Error - Insufficient permissions on the configuration folders although write permissions have been set #1206

Baikal version: 0.9.3

Disclaimer: C++ developer here with little web technology know how – the error is likely rather on my side and based on a lack of understanding than a bug.

I downloaded the release zip, unpacked it and uploaded it to my webspace. I changed the permissions of the Specific/ and config/ folders to 777 through my FTP client (FileZilla), so that it looks like that:

Still, when accessing mydomain.com/baikal/html through a web browser, I get the

Error - Insufficient permissions on the configuration folders

In order to work properly, Baïkal needs to have write permissions in the Specific/ and config/ folder.

page. Is there anything I'm missing here to make the needed permissions work?

Is this installed on Windows or Linux? I had the same error and it was caused by selinux and fapolicyd.
