How to share a Baikal calendar (to non-users) #1286

Hello folks,

I searched through the issues, and it looks like this place is ok to ask for help with Baikal, not just Sabre. Let me know if that's not the case, please. My searches didn't uncover anything helpful to me as a newb, so I'm starting my own issue. Again, if that's not the propper way to do things, please let me know.

Maybe to cut this short: Is it possible to create a calendar in Baikal that I then share with someone without any account on that baikal instance? Here's how far I got:

I installed Baikal on a YunoHost instance. All nice and easy. After changing "WebDAV authentication type" to "Basic" I even managed to log into the test user I created and make a new calendar that I then tried to share. To this effect I entered one of my email adresses into the "Share with (uri):" field. It seemed to take, as that email now shows up in "cs:invite".

Was this all done the right way? Question is: What now? I see no way to access this calender as the shared email adress from, say, the DavX5 app or something. How would I go on from here?

Kind regards

This has been moved (thanks a lot), but no reply. Is what I'm trying simply not possible?

You can send invites from Baikal, but this doesn't give the invitee access to your calendar. If you want to do so without a designated user account, check https://github.com/sabre-io/Baikal/issues/875#issuecomment-1585766022.
